A secondary school in Hailsham is seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team, with flexibility for an immediate start or a September start.

This is a great opportunity for an English specialist who is enthusiastic about their subject and keen to make a positive impact on students’ learning and progress.

The role:

  • Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Marking, assessment and contributing to student progress
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have strong subject knowledge in English
  • Demonstrate good classroom and behaviour management
  • Be committed, reliable and enthusiastic about teaching

This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs.

Location: Hailsham
Start date: ASAP or September 2026
Contract: Full-time (long-term / permanent opportunities may be available)
