We are delighted to be supporting a welcoming 3‑form entry Catholic Primary School in Worthing in their search for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with additional needs.

This role is ideal for someone who believes in nurturing the whole child — academically, emotionally, and socially — and who values working in a school underpinned by strong community values, care, and respect.

✨ The Role

You will provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil throughout the school day, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and feel secure within the classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting learning activities alongside the class teacher
• Helping the pupil manage routines, transitions, and regulation
• Encouraging independence while offering reassurance and guidance
• Working closely with the SENCo and teaching team to follow agreed strategies
• Supporting social interaction and emotional wellbeing
• Maintaining a calm, positive, and inclusive approach

• Has experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting

• Shares and respects the values of a Catholic school (practising faith not required)
