We are supporting a friendly, close‑knit one‑form entry primary school in Lancing in their search for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with additional needs.

This role is ideal for someone who truly enjoys building meaningful, consistent relationships with children and making a difference through calm, patient, and personalised support.


💛 About the Role

You will work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil, supporting them throughout the school day to help them engage with learning, manage emotions, and feel confident within the classroom.

Your role will include:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support in class and during interventions
  • Helping the pupil access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
  • Supporting emotional regulation, routines, and transitions
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow targeted strategies
  • Encouraging independence while offering reassurance and guidance
  • Creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment

Formal qualifications are welcome but the right attitude and SEN experience are key.
