Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Eastleigh

A secondary school in the Eastleigh area with a growing SEND provision is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within a mainstream setting.

The school has developed a strong inclusion department and requires additional support staff to meet demand.

You will work both in the classroom and within small intervention groups.

The role includes:

• Supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism and learning difficulties
• Delivering small group interventions
• Supporting engagement and behaviour within lessons
• Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a secondary SEND setting while being part of a supportive team.

• £93 per day

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• DBS on the Update Service
• Up-to-date safeguarding training
