Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm 

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH Alternative Provision in Maidenbower. This role involves delivering engaging English lessons to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, within a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support students with SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Differentiate learning to ensure accessibility and progress for all learners
  • Manage behaviour using calm, consistent and positive approaches
  • Track and monitor student progress and attainment
  • Work closely with support staff, leadership, and external agencies
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working within SEMH or alternative provision settings (desirable)
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate disengaged learners
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
