Behaviour Support Assistant – Portsmouth – September Start

Are you confident supporting children and young people who may struggle within mainstream education?

Pink Tile Education are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant for a specialist school in Portsmouth from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to move onto a permanent contract.

The setting supports pupils with:

• SEMH needs
• Autism
• ADHD
• Trauma-related behaviours
• Emotional regulation difficulties

The successful candidate will:

• Build positive professional relationships with pupils
• Support behaviour management strategies
• Encourage engagement within lessons
• Help pupils regulate emotions and access learning
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff

Experience within schools is beneficial, however candidates from:

• Residential support
• Youth work
• Sports coaching
• Care work
• Mental health support
• Behaviour mentoring

Pay: £93 – £98 per day
Contract: Full-time | Temp to Perm | September Start

All applicants MUST:

• Hold a DBS on the Update Service
• Have up-to-date safeguarding training
• Be comfortable supporting challenging behaviour
