Role Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, working alongside experienced teachers.
• Develop the skills and knowledge needed to become an effective classroom practitioner.
• Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their academic and personal development.
• Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and engagement within Religious Education.
• Assist with assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
• Engage fully with training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
• Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about inspiring and supporting young people aged 11–18.
• Committed to helping students develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.
• Motivated to learn and progress within the teaching profession.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work collaboratively and build positive relationships.
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

Essential Requirements

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics.
• A-Level grades with a combined minimum of BCC, including at least a Grade B in the subject you wish to teach.
• A 2:2 degree or above in Religious Education or a closely related subject.
• Eligibility to train to teach in the UK.
