Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
Pink Tile Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH provision in Basingstoke seeking an English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to do more than simply deliver lessons. The school supports young people who have experienced barriers to education and require a nurturing, trauma-informed approach to help them re-engage with learning and achieve success.
With small class sizes, strong pastoral support and a genuinely child-centred approach, this setting allows teachers to focus on building relationships, developing confidence and making a lasting difference to students’ lives.
As an English Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and adaptive English lessons to Key Stage 3 learners
Support students with SEMH needs, SEND and EHCPs
Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment
Build strong relationships that encourage engagement and attendance
Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and target setting
Work closely with pastoral, safeguarding and therapeutic teams
Support students both academically and emotionally
Holds QTS, QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Has experience teaching English at secondary level
Understands the challenges faced by young people with SEMH needs
Builds positive relationships and remains calm under pressure
Is passionate about inclusion and helping students succeed
Thrives within a collaborative, supportive team environment
