Are you a passionate English Teacher looking to make a real difference to the lives of young people?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH Alternative Provision in Crawley from September. This setting supports students aged 5–16 who may have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, or have struggled to succeed in mainstream education.
The Role
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.
- Support students to rebuild confidence and develop a positive relationship with learning.
- Manage behaviour positively and effectively.
- Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to achieve the best outcomes for students.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching secondary English.
- Has experience with, or a strong understanding of, SEMH and SEND.
- Is resilient, patient, and relationship-focused.
- Can confidently manage challenging behaviour and support emotional regulation.
