Intervention Teacher / Learning Intervention Practitioner – Eastbourne

We’re recruiting for an Intervention Teacher / Learning Intervention Practitioner to join a specialist education setting in Eastbourne. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Learning Mentor, Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker, or someone with experience supporting adults or young people with additional needs who is ready to transfer their skills into education.

This isn’t a traditional classroom teaching role. Instead, you’ll deliver engaging, activity-based interventions that build confidence, encourage independence, and support pupils to achieve positive outcomes. You’ll play a key role in nurturing pupils, developing life skills, and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
  • Deliver engaging intervention sessions and practical learning activities.
  • Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and complex needs.
  • Encourage emotional regulation, resilience and independence.
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work confidently both independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • Hit the ground running and make a positive impact from day one.

Transferable experience welcomed from:
