Pink Tile Education is recruiting for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Horsham this September. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and associated learning difficulties in a school known for its welcoming team and wonderful atmosphere.

The Role

  • Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant position.

  • Based in Horsham.

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

  • £107 per day.

  • September start.

  • Temp-to-perm opportunity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEND and SEMH needs.

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children to help them feel safe and confident.

  • Support learning both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills.

  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to support pupils who may occasionally display challenging behaviour.

  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and fellow Learning Support Assistants to provide the highest level of support.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEND, Autism, ADHD or SEMH needs.

  • Is patient, compassionate and resilient.

  • Can confidently support children who may occasionally display challenging behaviour.

  • Enjoys building strong relationships and celebrating every achievement.

  • Works well as part of a team while also using their own initiative.

  • Is looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant role in Horsham.

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • A positive, reliable and flexible attitude.
