Pink Tile Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Chichester that supports children and young people aged 2–19 years. We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team this September, helping pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve their full potential.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, resilient and able to build strong, trusting relationships. Many pupils require additional emotional support and some may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour, so you’ll need to be confident using a calm, consistent and nurturing approach.
Following a successful placement through Pink Tile Education, you’ll have the opportunity to secure a permanent role with the school.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
£93 – £100 per day.

This specialist school in Chichester supports children and young people aged 2–19 years with a wide range of SEND and SEMH needs. Pupils benefit from small class sizes, where teachers and Teaching Assistants work together to provide personalised support in a structured and nurturing environment.

Support pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and moderate learning difficulties.
Provide consistent support for children with SEMH needs and those who may present with challenging or dysregulated behaviour.
Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and emotional security.
Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs alongside the class teacher.
Use positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation.
Promote communication, independence and confidence throughout the school day.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and fellow Learning Support Assistants to provide the best outcomes for every pupil.
Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
Is confident supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
Is patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
Can build strong relationships with children and young people.
Has experience within education, care, residential, youth work or similar settings.
Is looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant role in Chichester.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to the location of the school).
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
Right to work in the UK.
A positive, reliable and flexible attitude.
