Our inclusive and welcoming school in Portsmouth is seeking a dedicated SEND Intervention Practitioner to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Working closely with teachers and the SEND team, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted support to pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Support the implementation of individual learning plans and interventions.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
• Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEND professionals.
• Monitor and record pupil progress where required.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to inclusive education and positive outcomes for pupils.
• Experience supporting SEND pupils is desirable but not essential.
