Pink Tile Education is recruiting for a specialist SEMH and SEND school in Chichester, supporting children and young people aged 2–19 years. We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join the team this September, working within a supportive environment where every child receives a personalised approach to learning.
Many pupils have a combination of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) alongside Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Some children may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour, so we’re looking for someone who understands that positive relationships, consistency and patience are key to helping pupils thrive.

Based in Chichester.
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
£93 – £100 per day.
September start.

This specialist school in Chichester provides education for children and young people aged 2–19 years with a range of SEND and SEMH needs. The school offers a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are supported both academically and emotionally.
Children learn in small classes with a qualified teacher and additional Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants, ensuring every pupil receives the individual support they need. Staff work closely together to promote confidence, independence and positive outcomes for every learner.
Support children and young people with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and associated learning difficulties.
Provide consistent support for pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
Build trusting relationships that help children feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
Use positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs alongside the class teacher.
Encourage communication, independence and social development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and fellow Teaching Assistants to provide the best possible support.
Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
Is confident supporting pupils who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour.
Has a calm, patient and nurturing approach.
Understands the importance of building positive relationships with children.
Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Has experience in education, care, residential settings, youth work or similar environments.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
Right to work in the UK.
A positive, flexible and reliable attitude.
£100 per day.
