A specialist school in Gosport is seeking a motivated Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a temp to perm basis. Supporting pupils from across Gosport, the school provides tailored education for children with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and associated communication difficulties.

This exciting Psychology Graduate role in Gosport offers valuable hands-on experience for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Teaching. Working within a dedicated specialist team in Gosport, you’ll gain practical experience supporting children with additional needs while making a genuine difference to their educational journey.

The Role

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Supporting children with Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs
  • Assisting with emotional regulation and social development
  • Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
  • Working alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral staff
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to support strategies

What We’re Looking For

  • Psychology degree or related subject
  • Passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Positive, resilient and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
