SEMH Inclusion Support Practitioner

Basingstoke £14.25 per hour Full Time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only Start Date: September 2026

Some pupils arrive at school carrying challenges that aren’t always visible in the classroom.

We’re supporting a well-established Basingstoke school in the search for an SEMH Inclusion Support Practitioner to join their team from September 2026. This role is focused on helping pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs develop the confidence, resilience and strategies they need to engage successfully in education.

You’ll work closely with teaching staff, SEND professionals and pastoral teams to provide consistent support to pupils who thrive with strong relationships, clear boundaries and positive encouragement.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in education, youth work, children’s residential care, support work or a similar setting where building trust and promoting positive outcomes has been at the heart of your role.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs throughout the school day
• Promoting positive engagement within lessons and school activities
• Building trusted relationships that encourage confidence and self-esteem
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Working alongside teachers and SEND staff to deliver targeted support plans
• Encouraging independence, resilience and personal development
