We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join a specialist school in Roehampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive facilities professional to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, and safety of the school site.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school provides a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

The Role:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the school site
  • Carrying out regular health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Overseeing contractors and coordinating planned and reactive maintenance
  • Managing site security, including opening and locking the premises
  • Completing minor repairs and maintenance tasks where appropriate
  • Monitoring facilities budgets and ordering supplies and equipment
  • Supporting the school with emergency procedures and site-related projects

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a Facilities Manager, Site Manager, or Caretaker role
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance
  • Practical maintenance skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
