Learning Support Assistant – Complex Needs

Pink Tile Education are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within a specialist school in Eastleigh supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical needs.

This highly supportive setting provides a sensory-rich curriculum designed to develop communication, independence and life skills. Some pupils require personal care support and use alternative communication methods including PECS and Makaton.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils throughout the school day
• Assist with communication and sensory activities
• Support personal care where required
• Promote independence and wellbeing
• Work closely with teachers and therapists

Requirements

• Caring and patient approach
• Experience in SEND settings desirable
• Ability to support personal care
• Excellent teamwork skills
