A friendly and well-established nursery in Eastbourneis looking to welcome an experienced Nursery Assistant into their bank staff team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of nursery work but wants the consistency of returning to a familiar setting, building relationships with children and becoming a valued member of the team.

The nursery is looking for someone reliable, nurturing and confident who can provide high-quality support whenever additional staffing is required — whether that’s planned cover, busy periods, staff holidays or additional support across the rooms.

You’ll become a familiar face for both children and staff, helping to maintain the warm, welcoming environment the nursery is known for.

The Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Support children aged 0–5 with their learning, development and daily routines.
• Work alongside experienced Early Years practitioners to deliver engaging activities.
• Encourage children’s curiosity through play, exploration and creativity.
• Support children’s personal care needs in line with nursery policies.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

• Has previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Is confident supporting children across different age groups.
• Has a warm, caring and patient approach.
• Can quickly build relationships with children and staff.
• Is reliable, adaptable and comfortable working as part of a team.

A Level 3 Early Years qualification is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate with strong nursery experience.
