Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Classroom Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Do you have the resilience, patience and understanding needed to help students who have faced barriers to education re-engage, build confidence and achieve their potential?
Pink Tile Education is working in partnership with a fantastic SEMH school in Chichester, who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team from 1st September.
This specialist Chichester school supports boys across upper primary and lower secondary age groups who have a range of SEMH needs. Many of the young people have experienced challenges within mainstream education and require a nurturing, consistent and relationship-based approach to help them succeed.
This role is about much more than classroom support. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in building trusting relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and helping them develop the confidence, resilience and emotional regulation skills needed to engage with education.
The successful candidate will be someone who understands that behaviour is a form of communication and can provide calm, consistent support when students are struggling. Experience supporting challenging behaviour, trauma-informed approaches, emotional regulation strategies or SEMH needs would be highly beneficial.
Please note: Due to the location of the school, you must be a driver for this role.
