The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help deliver high-quality early years education and care while building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities
  • Creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment
  • Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences
  • Building positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding practice
  • Promoting children’s independence, confidence, and social development

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting
  • Knowledge of supporting children with additional needs
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
