Do you have the patience, resilience and passion to support young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We’re recruiting Pupil Support Assistants to join a specialist SEMH school in Wandsworth. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may have experienced barriers to education, helping them build confidence, regulate their emotions and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Encourage engagement in learning and personal development.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to deliver tailored support.

About You

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, SEMH, SEND, care or youth work.
  • Calm, patient and resilient, with a positive approach.
  • Confident supporting pupils with behaviours that may challenge.
  • Passionate about making a lasting difference in young people’s lives.
