Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities?

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive educational setting in Southsea. The school is known for its inclusive ethos and provides outstanding support to pupils who require additional help to access learning.

You will be working with children who may have Autism, communication difficulties, sensory processing needs and associated learning needs. The school focuses on creating a calm, structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and life skills.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils throughout the school day
• Delivering targeted interventions and classroom support
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Working closely with teaching and therapy teams

We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience in education, care, support work or youth work
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of SEND or willingness to learn
• Patient and empathetic approach
• Commitment to helping every child succeed
