Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

A welcoming primary school near Billingshurst is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous SEN experience who enjoys building positive relationships with children and supporting them to thrive in the classroom.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils and teachers to provide additional learning and pastoral support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Supporting children with a range of SEN and additional needs.
• Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities.
• Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team to meet individual needs.
• Creating a calm, positive and nurturing learning environment.

We’re Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
• Experience working within a primary school or similar setting.
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them reach their potential.
• Reliable and committed to working Monday to Friday.
