We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive SEND team within a secondary school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop a rewarding career supporting students with a range of additional learning needs.

The Role

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assisting pupils to access learning and reach their full potential.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning.
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored support.
  • Building positive relationships with students to support both their academic and emotional development.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Patient, caring and empathetic.
  • Confident working with young people.
  • Able to remain calm and adaptable in a busy school environment.
  • A strong communicator and team player.
  • Passionate about supporting students to succeed.
  • Previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
