We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive SEND team within a secondary school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop a rewarding career supporting students with a range of additional learning needs.
The Role
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) both in and out of the classroom.
- Assisting pupils to access learning and reach their full potential.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning.
- Working closely with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored support.
- Building positive relationships with students to support both their academic and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate
- Patient, caring and empathetic.
- Confident working with young people.
- Able to remain calm and adaptable in a busy school environment.
- A strong communicator and team player.
- Passionate about supporting students to succeed.
- Previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
