SEMH Teacher

Are you an experienced Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new specialist school?

A new SEMH school in Esher is opening and is looking for dedicated and resilient Teachers to join its team. The school will support pupils aged 7–17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across a range of subjects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new school from the beginning and play an important role in developing its learning environment, culture and approach.

The Role

As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

  • Teach pupils aged 7–17 with SEMH needs
  • Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects
  • Adapt learning to meet individual needs and abilities
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support pupils with their emotional regulation and engagement
  • Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
  • Work closely with the wider pastoral and education team
  • Contribute to the development of a brand-new school

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced and enthusiastic Teacher
  • Confident supporting pupils with SEMH, SEN or additional needs
  • Calm, patient, resilient and consistent
  • Able to build strong relationships with young people
  • Adaptable and confident working with a range of ages and abilities
  • Passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to education

Experienced school staff without QTS may also be considered, depending on their background and experience.
