Role: Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support
Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD or learning difficulties?
We are currently looking for a caring, confident and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Bromley area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children and is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom and individual support, working closely with teachers and other members of the support team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs
Working with small groups to support learning and development
Delivering targeted 1:1 interventions
Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
Working with children with Autism, ADHD and learning difficulties
Supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour
Helping pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
Working as part of a strong and supportive team
Creating a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
The ideal Teaching Assistant will be:

Comfortable managing challenging behaviour calmly and consistently

Able to build strong relationships with pupils
Reliable, professional and committed
Passionate about supporting children to succeed
Previous experience working with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD or learning difficulties is highly desirable. Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Support Assistant or similar would be advantageous.
