Pink Tile Education are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Bromley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to the educational and personal development of young people.
The successful candidate will be supporting pupils who may have autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH and challenging behaviour, helping them to feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and other members of the school support team to provide targeted support to pupils who require additional help in the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support
Helping pupils access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
Supporting children with autism, ADHD and learning difficulties
Helping pupils who experience SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and educational development
Working closely with teachers to implement individual support strategies
Helping to create a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment
Every day will be different, and your ability to remain patient, consistent and encouraging will be essential.
The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is:
Caring, patient and approachable
Confident supporting children with additional needs
Resilient when faced with challenging behaviour
Understanding of SEND, autism, ADHD and SEMH
Able to encourage and motivate pupils who may struggle to engage with learning
Calm and consistent in your approach
A strong communicator who can work well with pupils and staff
Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic
Passionate about helping children reach their potential
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEND TA, Behaviour Support Worker, Youth Worker or similar would be beneficial.
