Support Mentor

Pink Tile Education are recruiting for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Support Mentor to join a nurturing specialist setting in the Battle area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody looking to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people who may have experienced barriers to learning and require additional support to achieve their full potential.

The role will involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as working with small groups, helping them to engage with learning, develop positive relationships and build confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs.
• Supporting small groups within lessons and intervention sessions.
• Building positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• Encouraging engagement, participation and emotional regulation.
• Supporting behaviour management strategies and promoting positive outcomes.
• Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupil progress.
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning opportunities throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND, SEMH, education, care, youth work, coaching or support settings.
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to remain resilient and positive in challenging situations.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
