A specialist school in Portsmouth is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.

You will play an essential role in supporting students with learning, communication, sensory activities and personal care, working closely with teachers and specialist staff to ensure every pupil can access a meaningful educational experience.

Duties include:

✅ Supporting pupils throughout the school day
✅ Assisting with personal care where required
✅ Encouraging communication and interaction
✅ Supporting sensory and therapeutic activities

Essential qualities:

✔ Caring and patient nature
✔ Comfortable providing personal care
✔ Experience in care, SEND, healthcare or support work preferred
✔ Strong teamwork skills
