Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND, Autism and SEMH needs?
Pink Tile Education is looking for a Learning Support Mentor to join a supportive school in Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
You will work closely with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEND, SEMH and challenging behaviour.
The role will involve providing 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils to engage with their learning, develop confidence and manage their emotions and behaviour.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with SEND, Autism and SEMH needs
Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support
Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and emotional regulation
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
Supporting teachers with classroom activities and learning
Following individual support plans and behaviour strategies
Promoting positive behaviour and clear boundaries
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
Creating a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
We are looking for someone who is:

Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Previous experience working with SEND, Autism, SEMH, challenging behaviour, schools, care, youth work, mentoring or similar settings would be highly beneficial.
