About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide support to students with a range of additional needs, including SEND, SEMH and autism.

You will work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them to engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

  • Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Passionate about working with children and young people.

  • Interested in developing a career in education or SEND.

  • Able to build positive relationships with students.

  • Consistent and confident in maintaining boundaries.

  • A strong communicator and team player.

  • Enthusiastic, reliable and committed.

Previous experience working with SEND, SEMH, autism, challenging behaviour, schools, care, youth work or vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Relevant transferable experience will be considered.
