A welcoming three-form entry primary school in Bellfields, Guildford is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team and teach a Year 6 class.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate KS2 Teacher / Year 6 Teacher who enjoys creating an engaging, inclusive and positive classroom environment while preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school.

About the Role

  • Teach a Year 6 class within a three-form entry primary school
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Prepare pupils for KS2 assessments and the transition to secondary school
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Work collaboratively with the Year 6 team and wider school staff
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Previous experience teaching KS2 / Year 6 would be beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • A creative, engaging and inclusive approach to teaching
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team

Previous experience as a Primary Teacher, KS2 Teacher or Year 6 Teacher would be beneficial.
