SEN Teacher

Guildford, Surrey | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only | Pay to Scale

A specialist SEN school in Guildford is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and additional learning needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher, Special Educational Needs Teacher or Primary/Secondary Teacher who is passionate about creating a supportive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons within a specialist SEN school
  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and additional needs
  • Adapt teaching and learning to meet individual pupil needs and abilities
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback and support
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEN staff and the wider school team
  • Maintain a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Teacher is essential
  • Previous experience teaching within SEN/SEND or a specialist school would be beneficial
  • QTS is desirable
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and individual learning needs
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Resilience and the ability to respond positively to challenging situations
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

Previous experience as a SEN Teacher, SEND Teacher, Special Needs Teacher, Primary Teacher or Secondary Teacher would be beneficial.
