Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in the Littlehampton area who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and wants to make a meaningful difference to their education and development. Whether you have previous experience working in a school or have supported children and young people in another setting, we would love to hear from you.

Full-time and part-time roles are available, with working hours between 8:00am and 3:30pm. You will be supported by the school and Pink Tile Education throughout your placement, giving you the opportunity to build your confidence, develop your skills and become a valued member of the school community.

Day to day, you will:

  • Provide classroom support to pupils, helping them stay engaged with their learning and encouraging them to participate confidently in lessons and activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and school staff, supporting pupils with their individual learning needs and helping create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and independence.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, offering encouragement, guidance and reassurance while acting as a consistent and supportive adult throughout the school day.
  • Support pupils’ wider development, encouraging positive behaviour, communication and social skills while contributing to their overall progress and wellbeing.

What we’re looking for:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in building positive relationships with secondary-aged pupils.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, positive and approachable nature.
  • Someone who is reliable, adaptable and keen to develop their experience within education.
  • A willingness to work as part of a supportive school team.
