We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Croydon. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for someone with experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils requiring additional support, including those with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour, providing both 1:1 support and small group interventions.
Supporting students with SEND in and out of the classroom
Providing 1:1 support and leading small group activities
Helping pupils engage with learning and reach their full potential
Supporting positive behaviour management strategies
Building strong relationships with students, staff, and families
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
✔ Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
✔ Experience supporting ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
✔ A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
£100 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
