A successful and welcoming Crawley primary school is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to take on a varied role supporting teachers, covering lessons, leading interventions and providing guidance to the wider Teaching Assistant team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking the lead and thrives in a fast-paced school environment.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Covering classes during teacher meetings, PPA and training days

✅ Delivering engaging pre-planned lessons independently

✅ Supporting learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2

✅ Leading small-group interventions

✅ Providing support and mentoring to Teaching Assistants

✅ Working alongside senior leaders to maintain high standards

✅ Supporting behaviour and learning across the school

Essential Requirements

• Previous HLTA experience
• Confidence leading a class independently
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different year groups
