A welcoming and community-focused one-form entry primary school in Crawley is looking for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with additional educational and emotional needs.

This role offers the opportunity to support a child through one of the most important years of primary education, helping them prepare for SATs, increased independence and the transition to secondary school.

Your Role Will Include:

✅ Providing dedicated daily support to one pupil

✅ Adapting classroom activities to suit individual needs

✅ Supporting concentration, organisation and confidence

✅ Encouraging emotional wellbeing and resilience

✅ Building strong relationships with home and school staff

✅ Supporting social interaction and peer relationships

✅ Assisting with interventions and academic progress

Ideal Candidate

• Previous school, SEND or youth work experience
• Patient and empathetic personality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs
