Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in East Wittering is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Assistant to join their team full-time. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a mainstream setting, providing vital support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across a range of year groups.

This role would suit someone with experience in education, care, youth work, support work or anyone with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with EHCPs across multiple year groups.
• Working both 1:1 and with small groups of children.
• Helping children access learning and engage positively in the classroom.
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
