Learning Support Assistant Required – Heathfield

Pink Tile Education is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work within welcoming and supportive schools across the Heathfield area. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in schools, childcare, care settings, youth work, support work or similar environments who are passionate about helping children succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities
• Setting up learning resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
• Providing 1:1 support to pupils requiring additional assistance
• Delivering small group intervention sessions
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

• A positive role model for children and young people
• Reliable, punctual and well organised
• Patient, caring and approachable
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Confident supporting a range of learning needs
• Experienced within a school, childcare, care, youth work or support setting (desirable)

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to Work in the UK
• Ability to provide references covering the last two years
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
