Every young person progresses differently. Some simply need the right support, at the right time, from the right person.

We are recruiting an Additional Needs Progress Coach for a busy Portsmouth school where inclusion sits at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will support pupils with SEND, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve meaningful progress both academically and socially.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with young people and takes pride in seeing small wins become lasting achievements.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with SEND throughout the school day
  • Delivering targeted interventions and learning support
  • Helping students remain focused and engaged during lessons
  • Encouraging social development and emotional wellbeing
  • Liaising with teaching staff regarding pupil progress
  • Supporting positive behaviour and learning outcomes

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within education, care, youth work or support services
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and encourage young people
  • Positive, resilient and adaptable approach
