Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and helping them thrive within education?

A welcoming primary school in Gosport is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Autism Resource Provision. The school has built an excellent reputation for providing tailored support to pupils with additional needs whilst maintaining a nurturing and inclusive environment.

You’ll be working with children who require additional support with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction and classroom engagement.

The role:

• Supporting pupils within the school’s Autism Resource Base
• Delivering targeted interventions and structured support
• Assisting children in accessing learning opportunities
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and confidence
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents
• Helping pupils transition successfully between classroom and specialist provision

The school is looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children or young people
• Has an interest in Autism, SEND or child development
• Is patient, consistent and positive
• Understands the importance of building trust and routine
• Can work effectively as part of a wider support team
