SEND Support Assistant – Autism / ADHD | Portsmouth (Flexible School Work)

£89 – £93 per day

We are currently recruiting for SEND Support Assistants to work in specialist and mainstream school settings across Portsmouth. Opportunities are available on both a flexible (bank) and longer-term basis.

These positions have arisen due to increased demand for support for pupils with Autism, ADHD and associated needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEND to access learning

• Assist with behaviour management and routines

• Provide 1:1 and small group support

• Work closely with teachers and support staff

The ideal candidate:

• Has experience in care, support work, education or youth work

• Is patient, adaptable and proactive

• Can build positive relationships with pupils

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

• Up-to-date safeguarding training

• Right to work in the UK
