Behaviour Mentor – SEN / SEMH School (Maidstone)
Start: ASAP or after May half term

We are working with a specialist SEN / SEMH school in Maidstone who are looking to appoint an experienced Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with additional behavioural and emotional needs.

This is a hands-on role requiring confidence, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people to succeed both academically and socially.

The role will involve:

Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, and within the classroom
Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to manage behaviour and engagement
Helping pupils regulate emotions and develop positive behaviour strategies
Acting as a positive role model and consistent support throughout the school day

We are looking for someone who:

Has proven experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH
Is confident managing challenging behaviour in a school setting
Can adapt their approach to suit individual pupils
Is calm, patient, and consistent
Is available to start ASAP or after May half term
