Behaviour Support Mentor

Behaviour Support Assistant – Full Time – Billingshurst – £89 per day

Are you calm under pressure and passionate about supporting young people to succeed? A dynamic secondary school in the Billingshurst area is seeking a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join their inclusion team from September 2025.

The school prides itself on having a nurturing and aspirational ethos, with a strong pastoral support structure and experienced leadership. You’ll play a vital role in de-escalating challenging situations and helping students access learning in a supportive environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs

• Working 1:1 and in small groups, both in and outside the classroom

• Collaborating with SENCOs, pastoral leads and class teachers

• Creating a calm, structured and safe space for learning

• £89 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)

To apply, you’ll need:

• 2+ months of experience working with children or young people

• A DBS on the update service

• Confidence, empathy and a non-judgemental approach
