Are you a calm, confident and compassionate professional with experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you want to make a real difference in a nurturing primary school setting?

A specialist SEMH primary school in Farnham is looking for a Behaviour Support Mentor to join their dedicated team. You’ll be working with pupils aged 5–11 in small, focused classes, helping them regulate emotions, build resilience, and engage positively in learning.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEMH needs
  • Help manage behaviour in a calm and constructive way
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support emotional regulation and wellbeing throughout the school day
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement behaviour strategies

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEMH or in alternative provision
  • A calm, empathetic and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence in de-escalating challenging behaviour
  • Must be a driver – school is not easily accessible by public transport
