Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the resilience, empathy, and confidence to help students manage behaviour and thrive in a nurturing environment?

A specialist SEMH school in Woking is seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to join their dedicated team. You’ll work with students aged 11–17 in small classes, providing tailored support to help them regulate emotions, engage in learning, and build positive relationships.

About the Role:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage positive behaviour
  • Help de-escalate challenging situations calmly and constructively
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement behaviour plans
  • Promote emotional wellbeing and resilience through consistent, compassionate support

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • A calm, confident and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain boundaries
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and making a difference
