This friendly SEMH school in Lancing is on the lookout for confident, committed, and caring individuals to join their supportive team. Students here may display challenging behaviour and require firm but kind boundaries, consistency, and trust-building.
Ideal for someone with life experience, care background, youth work or personal exposure to supporting children with SEMH or additional needs. You’ll play a vital role in helping students feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
Supporting children aged 6–16 with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
De-escalating behaviour and offering structured, predictable support
Helping children access learning in a calm, supportive way
Providing emotional regulation strategies and positive reinforcement
Contributing to behaviour plans and support strategies
Strong communication skills and a calm, consistent presence
Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humour
Experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs
Confidence working in a structured behaviour-led environment
