Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Blended Learning English Tutor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching English and have a strong understanding of blended learning methodologies. This role requires expertise in English tutoring, teaching, and supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Blended Learning Instruction:
  • Develop and deliver engaging online and in-person English language lessons for students of various proficiency levels
  • Utilize a range of digital tools and platforms to facilitate interactive and effective learning experiences
  • Create and curate digital content, including videos, quizzes, and interactive exercises
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments
• English Tutoring:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to address specific language learning needs
  • Assess students’ language proficiency and develop personalized learning plans
  • Offer guidance on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and language use in various contexts
  • Prepare students for English language proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, and Cambridge exams
• English Teaching:
  • Plan and conduct engaging English language classes for students of different ages and proficiency levels
  • Develop lesson plans that incorporate all language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening
  • Implement communicative language teaching approaches to enhance students’ fluency and confidence
  • Integrate cultural aspects of English-speaking countries into lessons to provide a comprehensive learning experience
• SEMH Support:
  • Identify and address the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students in the context of language learning
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop strategies for supporting students with SEMH challenges
  • Implement trauma-informed teaching practices to ensure a safe and nurturing learning experience for all students
• Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate students’ language progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians on language development
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
  • Use data-driven insights to inform teaching strategies and personalize learning experiences
• Collaboration and Professional Development:
  • Work closely with other tutors, teachers, and staff members to ensure a cohesive learning experience
