This is a full‑time teaching role beginning June or September 2026, suitable for both experienced teachers and confident early career teachers looking to grow.

Contract type: Maternity Cover
Salary: £32,916 – £45,350 (Main to Upper Pay Scale)
Reports to: Headteacher

📚 Key Responsibilities

As Class Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons that follow the curriculum and school expectations
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing high‑quality feedback and reporting
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils, including SEND, EAL and more‑able learners
  • Prepare pupils for assessments and ensure they make consistent, meaningful progress
  • Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment with effective behaviour management
  • Take part in staff development, training, mentoring or appraisal as required
  • Contribute actively to curriculum development, whole‑school projects and enrichment activities
  • Uphold professional standards, safeguarding duties and the values of the school

For teachers on the Upper Pay Scale, additional leadership and mentoring responsibilities may be included.
